March 30, 2010 – Trade Winds Ventures Inc. (TSX-V: TWD, FSE: TVR) is pleased to report that it has closed its previously announced brokered private placement through M Partners Inc. of 22,000,000 units for gross proceeds of $3,300,000. Each unit consists of one common share and one-half of one share purchase warrant. Each share purchase warrant will entitle the holders to acquire one additional common share at a price of $0.20 per share for a period of one year from the date of closing. M Partners Inc. received a cash commission of $241,918 and broker's warrants entitling M Partners Inc. to purchase 1,666,125 units of the Company at a price of $0.15 per unit for a period of one year from the date of closing. All of the securities issued under the private placement are subject to a four month hold period.
